About Me:
I was a CPA before I embarked on a real estate career. After graduation from college at age 20, I took the CPA board exam and passed and became a CPA at age 21. After two years of working for Upjohn Pharmaceutical Co and a year at Exxon, my ambition focused on leaving for New York. I was the only female accountant at Exxon Accounting Department where there were 36 men from top universities and just female secretaries. I went through 8 interviews before being offered a job.
At 23. I left the Philippines with $100 and a suitcase and came to New York without knowing a soul in the Big Apple. I have a letter of introduction to a friend of a friend who happened to be out of town when I landed at her apartment on 14th St. on a Sunday morning. Luckily, her roommate let me in. I went to the Philippine Embassy in New York the next day to help me find a place to live. Then I started looking for a job and on Wednesday got an offer from ITT Corp. They wanted me to start right away and I asked for another week to help me get acquainted with the city.
Three years later, I got married to an American who I met while taking my MBA class at NY University. The following year, we moved to the suburb and I became a suburbanite. I have lived in the Oyster Bay area for 38 years, 6 years in Muttontown and the rest in Oyster Bay.
I am extremely knowledgeable of the area and the complex changes in the real estate market. I keep myself abreast of all the changes in the real estate industry so I can help my clients with all the issues relating to the sale or purchase of their homes. The most recent one is the e-PRO course, a designation few real estate practitioners possess and which is essential in this changing market where internet presence is of paramount importance to market properties. I also have the SRES designation where I took courses to know all the issues affecting the senior clients - the 55 and over years young. I am also a graduate of The Luxury Home Marketing Institute where I took classes to know how to market luxury home properties.
When I am not busy with my real estate practice, I love to read, write, or work in my garden. I have been growing roses for the last 36 years, am an accredited Master Consulting Rosarian of the American Rose Society and give advice pro bono on rose gardening. I'm known in my area as "The Rose Lady." I do tremendous amount of volunteer work with the rose societies that I belong.
These experiences and contacts help me to gain access to a wide range of clients' base.

I recently purchased a house in East Norwich, New York. I initially became aware of the listing on Long Island Multiple Listing Service (www.mlsli.com). The Virtual Tour of this house was professionally done and it attracted me to the open house where I met Rosalinda or Linda, as she prefers to be called. Linda took my wife and I through the house and we were immediately impressed with her enthusiasm and energy. Linda gave us a brief history of the development, the neighborhood and the house itself. We briefly discussed the asking price, how long the house had been on the market and what the sellers might be willing to accept. I declined making an offer, indicating that it was out of our price range.
On Wednesday evening the following week I received a call from Linda to ask "what's going on?" Again I told her that the house was too expensive, but she persuaded us to take another look and attend the next open house that coming weekend. We did, and consequently made an offer on the house. Negotiations continued through Tuesday evening, and my final offer was accepted that night.
The bottom line: Linda did a great job representing her client, the seller. She was personable and persistent, not pushy or overbearing. I seriously doubt I would have bought that house, had she not called me that Wednesday night. I am a salesman and I would not hesitate to have her represent me when we sell our house.
