I'm Thomas McGiveron, Licensed Associate Broker, State of New York. I am a member of the Long Island Board Of Realtors and my business operates successfully 7 days a week.

In my fourth year as a Realtor, I have managed to sell over $8,000,000 of real estate. In an industry where nearly 50% of licensed agents, nationally, sold 1 or less homes, I have managed to sell 24 homes in 2010. My key to success is listening to my clients and working with them to provide superior service.

I earned a Masters Degree in Counseling from the State University of New York at Oswego in 1997. After several years working as a counselor, I decided that putting my "people person" skills to work as a real estate agent was in my (and my clients) best interests. I'm now a proud Broker Associate with Realty Connect USA.

I always had an interest in business and real estate so when the opportunity presented itself in 2007 when real estate agents were leaving the industry in record numbers, I decided to get my license. I have steadily grown a successful business and developed many positive relationships with many past clients.

I believe wholeheartedly in the ability of every person to live an extraordinary life.  I like helping people to feel extraordinary.  What better way to do that then to help them sell their home and move on to the next chapter of their lives or buy a home and begin the journey of homeownership.

Areas of Expertise

You will notice that many agents have all these acronyms behind their name like CBR, SSS, NSR, WHATEVER.

That's all fine and dandy and I might some day add to the list of acronyms behind my name, but the most important four letters to a seller is "SOLD" and to a buyer "DEAL".

Do those acronyms help agents be better agents - I'm sure they do, but I can tell you from EXPERIENCE, that numbers tell the truth.

Next time you're sitting with a real estate agent, ask him or her about their Days On Market average, List to Sales Ratio, and just ask them how many homes have they sold in the last 6 months. They should at least know the answers to these questions - if they do not, then all the acronyms in the world aren't going to help them or you, get what you want.

Experience,hard-work, marketing skills, integrity and expertise is what sells homes and helps buyers get good deals. Period. That is just one man's opinion.

I am a Licensed Associate Broker (LAB). I have a Masters Degree (MS) in Counseling and a Bachelors Degree (BA) in Sociology. Only one of those acronyms matters in the real estate industry - I am licensed to sell real estate and that's what I do and I do it efficiently and effectively for my clients' benefit so that they may refer me to their friends and family (which they do).
