To be successful in sales and yes the roles of real estate agents are salespeople first and foremost one must have a solid reputation. The Good News:  The good news is that average mortgage rates have moved back below 7%.  There is a lot of speculation about where the rates will be at the end of the year.  Bottom Line.  They are not gong to move much.  One hope is that improving your credit score can help more than the fed cutting rates.  There are numerous rates depending on your credit score.  The Not so Good News:  But the market will be laser-focused on the BLS February jobs number out today (3/8). Anything over 200K job additions could spook the bond market and see mortgage rates climb again.  and the job report yesterday was above the forecast.  Hope you enjoy my national and local real estate update. This is nothing to be embarrassed about, and it is likely one reason to sell;  the cost of continued maintenance.  That said, I personally know a few contractors who would fix some minor (and some major in some cases) issues with your home and give you 90-120 days to pay back.  By then, we will have certainly closed title to your house and now you will have ample resources to pay them from the proceeds of your house sale.This is a reality for some sellers in 2024, as a fast closing is as close to a guarantee as the sun coming up tomorrow.  Guaranteed.So, do you need a new roof?  Need some painting?   Spackling?  Call me, and we can get you taken care of.
