What is a Virtual Design Consultant?

There's an old cliché in the marketing world that says very simply, color sells.  Now that's not to say that black & white doesn't sell, but it's been scientifically proven that given a choice, consumers will be far more attracted to color in advertising.

In addition, most ordinary people have a difficult time truly understanding what is being presented when they are looking at the drawings that builders typically use.  The concepts of visualization including color, shading & shadows and the ability to form mental 3-dimensional spaces from 2-dimensional drawings takes practice.  It's just not something that most folks have a regular need for.  So when the time does arise, it's hard to do.

Visual Imaging: Is it for you?

In the construction industry, the name of the game is risk.  A home builder may purchase a vacant lot to build a spec house on.  As such they're under tremendous pressure to build the house and sell it before their profits are eaten up in holding costs & reduced prices.  A real estate agent has to find the right marketing techniques to get a qualified buyer for the property they're listing.  They have limited budgets and must be sure to spend those funds in the most productive manner possible.  Other types of contractors may spend considerable amounts of time preparing proposals & meeting with prospective customers in order to secure a sale.  If the prospect is unable to make a decision in a timely manner, the project may lag or not continue at all.

The visualization service I provide helps the ordinary people you work with as customers, clearly see your products and services in a graphic presentation that is easily understood.  It's just that simple.  The images I provide are hi-resolution, computer-generated renderings that show colors, materials, shades & shadows to illustrate our clients products and services.

Now let me tell you how you can get the benefits of using this service without paying a penny.  You can simply have your client or prospective customer give me a call.  I'll work with you & them as part of the team to look at the various choices they have to select from.  These could be colors, materials, landscaping arrangements, windows, roofing, siding, etc.  After they're satisfied, they take their selections back to you and the project moves ahead.  Your client will appreciate the guidance you provided by directing them to this service.

What's involved in this fun & exciting process?  Well first, I say it's a fun process because there's no pressure involved.  If you don't like what you see I change it to something different.  I can do this because my software that enables me to quickly change most of the items listed previously.  This means you can look at a variety of options then decide based on what you see versus what you try to imagine.  I start with electronic CAD files, digital photos & paper documents, depending on the client's needs, which are imported into the system.  After completing some additional modeling, we're ready to start start looking at the choices.  I work with clients by whatever is the most convenient method for them.  This can range from creating a private page on my web site where clients can view the progress of their project, to printing color copies for review, to meeting at the client's place with a laptop for a real-time editing session.  Since every client has different needs, I tailor my service to meet those requirements.

The best part is that it won't cost you or your customer an arm & a leg.  Because of the uniqueness of each project, I provide an individual quote for each one.  But just to give some idea of the fees, visualization of a modestly detailed home can start as low $250.  For this, I will create the necessary model based on your design, assist with color selection if desired and provide up to two additional images of different options.  If you still need more after that, I'll do another two revisions for just an additional $40.
