About John W. Helmering
John Helmering has been selling real estate in the Vail Valley for over 20 years. His dedication to professionalism, local product knowledge and innovation has made him a pronounced success locally as well as nationally within his field.
John is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and a Graduate, Real Estate Institute (GRI). He has served locally as an elected director for the Vail Board of Realtors and is a founding member of the Worldwide Recreation and Resort Sales Council.
Throughout his career, John Helmering has established himself as a leader in Vail Valley Real Estate. During his thirteen year tenure with Prudential Real Estate, John was recognized as one of the top 100 producing Prudential Real Estate Affiliates nationwide and routinely received the highest award of Chairman’s Circle. In addition, he was a founding agent for three different offices for Prudential Colorado Properties as well as serving on the company’s technology and marketing committees.
In 2003, Helmering was named managing broker of Gateway Land and Development Company. In two years, John’s accomplishments included: growing the brokerage from five to sixteen agents; creating several new management systems for agents and customers; and directing the company in its real estate technology development objectives; he was also one of the top producing real estate agents while at Gateway Land and Development.
In 2006, John founded Resort Markets, LLC dedicated to professionalism, sales marketing and conciencious development in the Central Rockies.
Currently, John is managing sales and marketing on-site for one of the most exclusive developments in the Vail Valley: Adam's Rib Ranch, home of Adam's Mountain Country Club.
Another Resort Markets, LLC development is Copper Pines at Lewis Ranch. Past projects include: The Inn at Riverwalk in Edwards, 1st & Main in Edwards, Brett Ranch Estates, Villas at Brett Ranch, South Fork Meadows, Red Canyon Townhomes and many design build luxury residences.
John Helmering lives at Cotton Ranch Country Club with his terrific wife, Sheri, and three brilliant boys, Jack, Josh and Tyler. John’s spends most of his time working and being a father but still has a unique love for the outdoors which originally brought him to Vail. John is an avid golfer, skier and fly-fisherman.
