ThoroSpec founder and principal, Hollis Brown, VCHI, is a 35-year veteran of the metropolitan area home building & home inspection industry with experience in construction management and design/build remodeling. He attended Indiana State University and studied architecture and construction management. Hollis holds the VCHI designation of the VA Board for Lead, Asbestos & Home Inspection as well as a License to perform home inspections in the State of Maryland. As the head instructor at the prestigious Home Inspector Training Academy, Hollis has trained hundreds of home inspectors throughout the U.S.
He is a long-time member of the Virginia Association of Real Estate Inspectors (VAREI) and the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), and proudly upholds the ASHI Standard of Practice and Code of Ethics.
