"Raising The Bar"

 After closing a few 1,000 real estate transactions over the last 17 years, I've had the pleasure and (unfortunately) not so pleasurable experiences of working with many real estate agents.

It it no wonder that consumers view our industry as just slightly above a car dealer and with less trust than they put in an attorney!

I've tried to change that in a couple of different ways. 

     1.  By allowing the client to make the decision!   There is a wonderful saying that I use quite often, "I provide, You decide."  What this means, is that it is the Realtors job to present all the information, all the statistics, all the market news, all the disclosures...Everything then...allow the Buyer or Seller to make an "informed, knowledgable" decision.

 When Realtors start inserting themselves into the transaction and making decisions for the client is when the experience can go bad!

     2.  I actually Coach Realtors across the country!  I coach them to not only run their business like a business, I also coach them on skill building so that after a consumer has worked with them they will say "Wow! my Realtor was so knowledgable, calm and professional it sure did make the buying/selling process enjoyable.  I would refer them to all my friends."

You might say "Why would Yvonne, an active Realtor, want to help other agents do a better job?"

The answer:  Because it makes the industry better!  It also weeds out the rest!  As we "Raise The Bar" the weak and unknowledgable will find other professions, because the consumer won't tolerate trusting one of their biggest investments in their lives to someone who can't balance their own checkbook!

Licensed Since 1989, I started my real estate career as a Re/max agent in Corona, California which I am still affiliated. Our business in Corona and the surrounding areas focuses on Past Clients, Sphere of Influence and Referrals. My Husband and I have expanded our Real Estate business to Sandpoint, Idaho to market and sell our project Canyon Creek Ranch & work with Buyers and Sellers in a fantastic Resort Community.
