Every year our Administrator supports a Pet Toy drive for the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA). She is a very dedicated supporter of the SVACA so to support her efforts I offered to write about pet adoption on my blog. I asked her - Jennifer - please give me your top 10 reasons why you always and others should consider adopting an animal from a shelter like SVACA. Her email quickly came back: My Top 10 reasons why I adopt from a shelter:
Number 10: to save the life of an animal that will more than likely die if not adopted.
