A Senior Fair was held on Saturday the 17th of May at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando to create awareness for SENIORS and their CARETAKERS. It was a beautiful May Day that resulted in a small turnout. The Vision is to hold annually where more people will know that there are people, organizations and groups available to provide TRUSTED RESOURCES and Referrals (www.yourfloridahaven.com). Besides myself (www.yourfloridahaven.com ) and Terri Misek both with KELLER WILLIAMS REALTY there were several services in attendance to assist the SENIOR Population and their CARETAKERS. Several weeks ago an announcement was made that Brookdale Communities would be purchasing Emeritus Communities nationwide. The announced purchase price would be in the 2.8 billion mark and they are anticipating a closing date sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2014. With the Merger between Brookdale and Emeritus they will have over 100,000 units in 1161 communities in 46 states. By far the largest Senior Community for assisted, independent, CCRC and Memory Care living centers. Brookdale Communities will be located within 10 miles of 6.5 million Seniors who are 80 years or older. They are projecting to save over 45 million a year in operating expenses … (0 comments)
