I received a call from one of my clients a week before Christmas. He told me that he just received an offer on his Murrieta, CA property after being listed on the market for only 3 WEEKS!!! He said "Thank you so much for helping me get the house looking it's best. That's why it SOLD so quickly!" What a wonderful Christmas present! I recently finished home staging an occupied home in Murrieta that had a master bedroom that was challenging. Why, would the master bedroom be challenging, you ask? Well, this bedroom had a waterbed in it! Not that there is anything wrong with a waterbed....but this one was a little sad. It looked like it was sinking. Oh what a difference a little paint and accessories can make! The home seller was a little resistant at first but rewarded in the end! :) We can suggest repainting or painting a room till we are blue(or in this case green) in the face. Next time I will be sure to share this before and after with future clients.

Last week I finished a home staging job for a Murrieta occupied home. The upstairs bonus room already had been furnished but needed a "stager's helping hand" to bring back the "BONUS" in BONUS ROOM. It was a lot of fun and the results, in my opinion, were dramatic. In this case, all that was needed was lots of decluttering, removing the busy worn couch cover, a few pillows accessories and VIOLA! Today I was checking in on AR and my AR associates and to my surprise I read a blog from a Keller Williams realtor Michael Garcia, GRI that I worked with in June that was titled Stage that Home and he mentioned me. Would you want to buy an EMPTY BOX? NOPE. Neither would I unless I was moving and needed moving boxes! Staging a vacant home is like dressing for a job interview. Would you go to an interview in your worst condition? Nope. Neither would I. I do not understand why any Real Estate Agent or Home Seller would want to try to sell an EMPTY BOX. That has to be one HARD SELL. Staging a vacant home brings unbelievable energy into a home. When you walk into a vacant home the empty, lonely and depressing feeling can be overwhelming!
