Did you know that Homeownership Creates Family Wealth in Hawaii? Matthew Rognlie, a young graduate student from the Department of Economics at MIT, recently released a 51 page Brookings Paper: "Deciphering the Fall and Rise in the Net Capital Share."
One of the major findings of the report is that homeownership is and has been for the last fifty years a major component to family wealth. Then, an article on the study in The Economist notes one of the findings of the study: “The return on non-housing wealth, in fact, has been remarkably stable since 1970. Instead, surging house prices are almost entirely responsible for growing returns on capital.” This (4 comments)

As a part of my 2012 BIG Jumpstart Blog Challenge, I thought about my cousin Leroy and his wife Cindy. This is to fulfil the PHOTO portion. My cousin truly had his challenges, so I have learned NOT to say I CAN'T or I WON'T. To make the story short, 30 years ago, he was asleep as a back seat passenger when the driver went off the road and Leroy was thrown through the windshield FIFTY feet. The accident left him a paraplegic. He was alive but his work life was ended, his dreams were smashed. I'm sure he (4 comments)
