The Town of Naples was recognized in Florida by the 1880's. Little more than a hundred years ago the population was a scant 34 full time residents and would blossom to over 80 in the winter months. There began our vacation destination for the masses albeit to a much lesser degree than today.

We like to think of this Zip as being the heart of Naples. It includes the old downtown area of 5th Avenue South, Third Street South and neighborhoods like Port Royal, Royal Harbor, Aqualane Shores, Olde Naples and many more.
At a casual glance of the above graph you would expect that things appear bleak in Naples in the 34102 zip code. I have a different take on this activity or lack thereof.
