The mechanics of rowing encompass nearly every muscle in your body and the intensity is entirely user controlled. Boat design plays a huge factor in the amount of speed one can generate on water, however, it's a fantastic exercise for beginner to expert and individually or with a team. The low impact it derives allows for a lifetime of fitness without the wear and tear associated with many exercises today.
When I mention high intensity it doesn't mean you have to beat yourself up during every workout. It's a whole new perspective on life to be moving forward not exactly knowing (8 comments)

Every thing was going great today until I stopped for lunch. One martini soon became two and so on and so on. Next thing I know the ground started rushing up to greet me and voila, here I am. I've got no reason to move. Wasn't going anywhere particular anyway, chores are done. Kids are still in school. Yeah, I'm just going to bask here a little while longer and take a load off my feet. Heck, I bet none of you readers even realize how comfortable some warm pavers can be on a sunny day. You really ought to try (7 comments)
