You've heard the similar sounding line about the chicken. Now I have a compulsion to want to get to the other side. The other side of Indiantown Road that is, the South side, it'll take you to #250 West Indiantown Rd.. There you'll find the Old Florida Bar & Grill. Actually, you will likely hear the music before you see it and when you do pull around back to park and enjoy the experience.

I had received the email yesterday that The Chalet Suzanne will be retiring on or about August 4th. It has been a landmark restaurant in central Florida for more than eight deades and I've been its fan since 1969. That's before there was a Walt Disney World as its northern neighbor. Generally, I'm a meat & potatoes person but will indulge into the exotic once in a while. This rare and remotely located Inn has been a favorite stop whenever I travel near its doors. Much of Florida relies on the ability to accommodate vacationers in a fashion which can be enjoyed nowhere else in the U.S. during the winter months. Global warming aside, the season has seen unlikely and extreme weather for most of the country. What was it in Fargo, ND yesterday? A wind chill of -60 Fahrenheit, while today we're expecting to be over 80 degrees. It's no wonder why people want to escape to South & Southwest Florida at this time of year.
