Large gym and aerobic room in the clubhouse. Some 55 plus communities are not active adult and may be more like (1 comments)
This is a shot I took during my visit to Sun City Carolina Lakes week before last. It is a trail in the 1500 acre community that does down along the bottom land on the Catawba River. The trail was cool and lush on a hot Summer day and I realized what a nice thing, to have this in your community. You can walk or ride on your golf cart. This is a Del Webb 55+ Community in SC but only 10 or 15 miles south of Charlotte, which is in NC (1 comments)

- 09/27/13 03:57 AM
I have visited many active adult communities in Atlanta, but the one I probably like the best is Village at Deaton Creek, a Del Webb 55+ community. Like most active adult communities it is located on the outskirts of the metro area, in a small community called Hoschton, in Jackson County GA. It is located just off Interstate 85 kind of between Chateau Elan and Road Atlanta, two landmarks you will be familiar with if you live in the Atlanta metro area. So why is the Village at Deaton Creek one of my favorite of the 55+ communities in Georgia. (0 comments)
