2013 Johns Creek GA Founders Day Celebrations

In December 2006 our city changed it's name from Alpharetta to Johns Creek. Actually we were in the unincorporated area of North Fulton County GA and called ourselves Alpharetta because we used that post office address. Living in an unincorporated area of the county is the worst case because you pay the taxes but have no representation.
Well the people in this area had enough of that and formed our own city, the city of Johns Creek Georgia. We are really proud of our new city and have a week long Founders Day … (4 comments)

georgia: Showcase Of Georgia's Beauty in One Shot - 10/14/13 10:15 AM

Georgia has some of the nicest lakes anywhere!  The above is a picture I took while visiting Lake Oconee, a lake about an hour Southeast of Atlanta in Greensboro.  Lake Oconee has 374 miles of shoreline and a surface area of over 18,000 acres.  That's pretty large.
This picture is one I took while staying on a weekend tour of Del Webb at Lake Oconee, I think the only Del Webb's only  Active Adult Communities on a lake. That is part of their community dock.
