Last year I traveled to the Lowcountry of South Carolina and discovered what a wonderful place it was to visit. It was so relaxing and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. We even rode around and looking at retirement homes and found out we were not the first people to have that idea. Don't get me wrong, it is not crowded, far from that. But the Lowcounty offers so much that is appealing more and more people my age are moving to the area. On 55 Community Guide we just discovered the outstanding community of The (4 comments)

Did you ever visit a place and then want to return soon. Did you ever consider what it would be like to move there to live? We visited Beaufort SC this week and fell in love with it. The October weather was great as we walked along the Waterfront Park in Beaufort on the Beaufort River. Having lunch and dinner on Bay Street enjoying the fresh Fall weather full of sunshine to go with our wine and crab cakes! Walking among the shops off Baby Street was a pleasure. Taking the carriage ride though Beaufort's Historical District to see the huge well preserved (2 comments)
