online training: e-pro professional - 05/05/09 12:42 PM
Its official, I am a e-pro professional. I started the on-line course over the weekend and couldn't stop working on it. I love technology and think its vital to embrace for success in our future. I thought e-pro was the obvious choice for my first designation. I also like that there isn't a yearly fee that has to be paid. The course was entirely on-line so it can be done at your own leisure according to your schedule. You can take up to six months to do it, or you can go my route and refuse to stop until your done. … (12 comments)

online training: whats been keeping me busy - 05/04/09 01:28 PM
Not that I think anyone has noticed but i havent blogged or posted in a few days. Its not that I havent wanted too but i have been pre occupied. A few days ago I started the epro certification class. I am almost complete with module 3, and wow i have already learned a lot. I belive that every real estate agent should take the epro class. New technolgoies are replacing the old at a dramatic rate, and we need to stay on top of it or we are going to loose business. The class breaks down everything in its simplest … (2 comments)

online training: Are You Considering Commercial Real Estate - 04/26/09 01:51 PM
I have written a few previous posts about online classes that I have taken through Realtor University. I have always been very intrigued by commercial real estate, coming from a background including a lot of commercial construction. Realtor University has just started offering a class entitled Discovering Commercial Real Estate. I decided it was a class I couldn't pass up. The class is not going to make you an expert in commercial real estate but it does give you all the info you need to make an informed decision about whether commercial real estate is for you. After taking the course … (0 comments)

online training: International Referral Program - 04/06/09 11:38 AM
International Referral Program
I just finished another wonderful course from Realtor University. I completed the transnational referral certification (TRC). The TRC is offered through the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA). It is a referral system that allows you to send and receive International referrals, using a legal binding set of forms and procedures. The TRC helps ensure professionalism for your clients along with a consistent set of procedures. This is just one more tool that I can use to assist my clients with all of their needs, here at home and now internationally. If you would like … (2 comments)

online training: How much do you know about Diversity? - 03/28/09 01:08 PM
I recently completed the At Home with Diversity course from NAR. I took the online version through Realtor University. I want to be prepared to work with any and all clients so I don't limit who I can work with. I had no idea how much information I would be covering. The course covered traditions of different nationalities across the globe. It covered how to write a business plan to market to different nationalities. The most important part was the laws we need to be aware of to meet Fair Housing criteria. Before the class I assumed that would be the … (2 comments)

online training: Online Classes from REALTOR University - 03/27/09 06:50 AM
Last night I completed my first REALTOR University Online Class. I have been contemplating taking some of their classes but have always been a little skeptical. I learn by being hands on, that likes the environment of being in a classroom. My time has become scarce and will be until I don't have to work so hard to pay the bills. I don't want that to be an excuse to avoid continued training. I decided I was going to give it a try, and I was very impressed. I assumed I would watch a video and then answer a few questions … (3 comments)
