prayer: Our Redeemer Lives! - 09/10/12 08:03 PM
Our Redeemer Lives! I love you LORD!
ISAIAH 59:16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
BARNES' NOTES And he saw that there was no man - That is, no wise and prudent man qualified to govern the affairs of the people. Or, that there was no man qualified to interpose and put an end to these evils; no one qualified to effect a reformation, and to save the nation from the calamities which their sins deserved. The reason why God provided a … (0 comments)

prayer: "BUT NONE OF THESE THINGS MOVE ME" - 09/09/12 11:01 AM
Paul didn't say, "None of these things hurt me," he said, "None of these things move me." Big difference! Paul refused to let life's problems derail him.
ACTS 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

prayer: And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new - 09/08/12 09:59 PM
REVELATION 21:4-5 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
MATTHEW HENRY'S COMMENTARY Redeemer should make all things new in order hearts and nature, he will make all things new in respect of our situation, till he has brought us to enjoy complete happiness. See the certainty of the promise. God gives his titles, Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the … (4 comments)

prayer: FIGHT ALL YOUR BATTLES ON YOUR KNEES - 09/06/12 09:32 PM
2 CORINTHIANS 10:3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
BARNES' NOTES The Christian looks for his conquests only by the force and the power of truth, and by the agency of the Spirit of God.

prayer: Beautiful! - 09/05/12 08:36 PM
Real beauty isn't something we put on the outside of our bodies. We are most beautiful when our hearts are obedient to God. His love shines through us in our words and actions. Beautiful hearts never fade with age.
PROVERBS 31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

prayer: RESPECT - 09/04/12 09:25 PM
When you stop what you are doing to pay attention to those talking to you, it shows respect. It shows them that you think they are important. It also helps us to remember that cell phones are not as important as real people. We need to be ready at all times to share God's love with the people he brings into our lives.
ROMANS 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

prayer: TRUST - 09/03/12 09:11 PM
PSALM 9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
BARNES' NOTES All who are acquainted with thee; all those who have been made acquainted with the manifestations of thy goodness, and with the truth respecting thy character. The more intimate our knowledge of God, the more entirely shall we trust in him; the more we learn of his real character, the more shall we see that he is worthy of universal love. It is much to say of anyone that the more he is known the more he will be … (4 comments)

prayer: GOD Direct My Life - 08/31/12 08:32 PM
PSALM 119:59 KJV I thought on my ways, and turned my feet to your testimonies.
BARNES' NOTES No one is converted without such reflection; and as soon as a sinner can be made to pause and reflect on his course, there is hope that he will be converted. Assuredly it is proper for all, whatever may be their circumstances in life, to pause from time to time; to reflect; to ask what will be the consequences of the course of life which is pursued.
There is an actual turning from sin; an actual turning to God. The sinner turns. He leaves an … (2 comments)

prayer: Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth - 08/30/12 09:31 PM
EPHESIANS 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
WESLEY'S NOTES But that which is good - Profitable to the speaker and hearers. To the use of edifying - To forward them in repentance, faith, or holiness. That it may minister grace - Be a means of conveying more grace into their hearts. Hence we learn, what discourse is corrupt, as it were stinking in the nostrils of God; namely, all that is not profitable, not edifying, not apt to minister grace … (1 comments)

prayer: Clean Hands - 08/29/12 08:49 PM
JOB 17:9 The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
GILL'S EXPOSITION and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger; or "add strength"; increase in it. This character is opposed to one of an immoral life and conversation, and describes one that is not guilty of any notorious crime, that does not live in any known sin, but in the general course of his life is upright and sincere, holy, harmless, and inoffensive; such a man as he is already a partaker of spiritual grace and strength, and … (1 comments)

prayer: PRAYER is the world greatest wireless communication - 08/27/12 09:30 PM
PHILIPPIANS 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
MATTHEW HENRY'S COMMENTARY The peace of God, the comfortable sense of being reconciled to God, and having a part in his favour, and the hope of heavenly blessedness, are a greater good than can be fully expressed. This peace will keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus; it will keep us from sinning under troubles, and from sinking under them; keep us calm and with inward satisfaction.

prayer: Behold I will do a NEW THING - 08/26/12 09:05 PM
I heard an awesome message yesterday on Responsibility and God's Timing. The greater our diligence, the greater the new season. NEW THING = NEW SEASON = NEW BLESSINGS, NEW LEVEL OF FAVOR and NEW OPPORTUNITIES. #GodCanAndDoesChangeTheSeasons #AndSoBeIt
ISAIAH 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

prayer: Not one is useless; not one unnecessary - 08/25/12 08:08 PM
1 CORINTHIANS 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
CLARKE'S COMMENTARY All are intended by him to have the same relation to each other; to be mutually subservient to each other; to mourn for and rejoice with each other. He has also made each necessary to the beauty, proportion, strength, and perfection of the whole. Not one is useless; not one unnecessary.

prayer: It is finished. - 08/25/12 08:24 AM
JOHN 19:30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Everything we need has already been provided for us. God has a plan. #Provision

prayer: Let love lift you! - 08/23/12 09:26 PM
Let love lift you!
PSALM 31:7 I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.
CLARKE'S COMMENTARY Thou hast known my soul in adversities - When all forsook me; when none could help me; when I could not save my own life; when my enemies were sure that I could not escape; then I found thee to be my Friend and Supporter. When friend, so called, finds it convenient not to know his friend in affliction and poverty, then thou didst acknowledge me as thine own, all worthless as I was. … (0 comments)

prayer: Chin Up! - 08/22/12 08:49 PM
PSALM 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
GILL'S EXPOSITION The lifting up of the eyes is a prayer gesture, and is expressive of boldness and confidence in prayer, and of hope and expectation of help and salvation.

prayer: Whatcha doing...?! - 08/21/12 09:09 PM
HEBREWS 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
BARNE'S NOTES And yet all these are known to God. He reads every thought; sees every feeling; looks through the whole soul. How careful should we be to keep our hearts pure; how anxious that there should be nothing in the soul that we are not willing to have known!

prayer: I love God, and I'm a follower - 08/20/12 08:34 PM
MATTHEW 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
MATTHEW HENRY'S COMMENTARY Children, when very young, do not desire authority, do not regard outward distinctions, are free from malice, are teachable, and willingly dependent on their parents. It is true that they soon begin to show other dispositions, and other ideas are taught them at an early age; but these are marks of childhood, and render them proper emblems of the lowly minds of true Christians. Surely we need to be daily renewed in … (2 comments)

prayer: God's Favor Chases Me Down Everywhere I Go - 08/18/12 02:08 AM
Just speaking "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me" brings joy to my soul!
PSALM 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
