albuerque homes for sale: Albuquerque Goose - 10/12/11 10:12 AM
Albuquerque Goose
While walking along the Rio Grande River Bosque in Albuquerque we spotted this large beautiful Goose.  He watched us watching him then puffed out his chest then opened and flapped his wings as if to warn us that a camera shot would be tolerated but that was the extent of his patience.

albuerque homes for sale: America The Beautiful and Pikes Peak Colorado - 10/07/11 03:55 PM
While camping at Garden of the Gods in Colorado my wife and I planned to check out Pikes Peak in Colorado.  So early to bed and early to rise with visions of Pikes Peak dancing in our head we woke to find the years first snow on the 14,115 ft Pikes Peak!  We quickly headed up the road towards the Peak.  We were actually the first people (behind the snow plow) making for a pristine sight.  Not a deep snow but still a beautiful clean, crisp blanket covered the steep road and surrounding mountain.  Looking down we were in awe at the breath taking views and understood … (36 comments)

albuerque homes for sale: Getting Back To Nature At Rocky Mountain National Park - 10/07/11 02:36 AM
Getting back to nature at the Rocky Mountain National Park was an experience neither my wife nor I will ever forget.  The fall colors were amazing, October 14,000-foot snow-caps intriguing, wild life abundant and the chilly nights perfect for sleeping.  We were fortunate enough to catch a herd of Elk at dusk grazing near a stream.  The huge bull didn’t appreciate the clicks of the camera and let out a deafening bugle call for his ladies to head back across the stream and he meant right then!  On a full moon night the screams of coyotes and wolves echoed with the … (22 comments)

albuerque homes for sale: A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words - 10/05/11 09:47 AM
If a picture is worth a thousand words then the photos posted below should be all you need to prove fall is indeed in the air!  The brilliant colors of golden Aspens even made our skin glow as we hiked up, down and around the rocks, lakes and waterfall. An October snow covered the mountaintop at Marroon Bells on the outskirts of Aspen Colorado.

I have put Facebook to work for me!  Now at closings not only do I make a point to get my clients and their family’s birthdays for my database I also ask them if they’re on Facebook.  In today’s world nine times out of ten the answer is yes of course they’ve got a Facebook page.  I then ask them if it’s okay if I send them a friend invitation, which is sent immediately.  Not once have I been turned down.

What a simple and great way to stay in touch, staying in the loop of new babies, family situations, … (22 comments)

albuerque homes for sale: Some Realtors Take Their Clients To Dinner I Take Mine To Church - 10/04/11 02:19 AM

My wife and I try to make a point to personalize our relationship with each real estate client.  More times than not when home-buyers are relocating to Albuquerque they have a list of questions as to where we shop, dine out, where the nearest post office is, where the best deals are the list goes on and on.  This is when we normally take the opportunity to ask if they are looking for a community Church.  Then we invite them to go with us.  Never pushy we just toss the invitation in with the other local information.  We have taken several … (18 comments)

albuerque homes for sale: Albuquerque’s Secret Aspen Grove - 09/28/11 10:17 AM
Albuquerque’s Secret Aspen Grove
Several years ago my wife and I accidentally stumbled across a trail less taken called North Sandia Crest.  It has now become a favorite fall hike as it hides a brilliant grove of Aspens not a common sight found around Albuquerque.  This is a moderate hike with awesome views as far as the human eye allows.  It’s well worth the effort and heavy breathing the thin air at 10,678 feet brings. The North Sandia Crest  hike travels along the Sandia Mountain rim and then dips into the forest making for a day of season changing zones … (23 comments)

albuerque homes for sale: Thrive or Survive - 09/27/11 12:57 PM
Thrive or Survive  As I reflect on life and the many ups and downs it brings Helen Keller comes to mind.  One of my favorite quotes from Helen Keller is, “Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadows.” If there ever was a person that had reason to complain, or have a negative attitude it would certainly have been Helen Keller.  But Helen didn't take the path of negativity or bitterness.  Helen Keller didn't just survive, she thrived and was an inspiration to countless others.  Next time you have a down day I hope you keep your face to the sun and … (25 comments)
