Last week I popped into the Seattle Art Museum better known as SAM. One of the many perks that come with living in Downtown Seattle! Picassso is the main attraction right now, however, the photos I would like to share are not his work. The coat you see below is made up of Dog Tags. Just Dog Tags. It is to remind us of the thousands of soldiers who fight for our freedom.

I suspect we will not see many more Indian Summer days here in the Greater Seattle Area. The leaves are almost all on the ground and my new focus will be Christmas lights around Downtown Seattle. Gas Works Park is twenty acres of fun on Lake Union. Once a manufacturing plant to convert coal into gas, this unusual way to play, picnic and fly kites was the hit of my week!

University District Architectural Heaven Traveling four miles from downtown Seattle to the U District, I discovered some wonderful buildings underneath the vibrant colored autumn leaves. Always loving old brick buildings, leaded windows, elaborate archways, water features and iron gates, I was definitely in the right place to get into an architectural overload state of mind!
Such intricate details on this old building, and I love the leaded windows!
Brick buildings represent a long lasting accomplishment to me.
How's that for an archway?
