Hello ActiveRain! We wanted to let you know about a few updates we are working on. I apologize first and foremost for the poor performance issues you have been experiencing lately. We are not about to enter that nightmare we experienced last spring and the reason we won't is because our developers are on top of it. We are in the midst of upgrading our database servers. Solicitations I’ve received a few contacts from members who were contacted by tele-marketers. One member event told me the marketer referenced that someone working for ActiveRain had requested they call them. Please know that these calls are not condoned by anyone here working for AR. EDITED*** In an effort to keep the playing field level and fair, so that those who make honest contributions to the network get rewarded, we have decided to stop awarding points for adding communities into Localism.There have been numerous instances where members have added literally hundreds of communities in a day in order to earn points, game the rankings and get better visibility on the network at the expense of other members.The community portion of localism is still a great place for our members to direct content and attempt to reach out to consumers.
