The holiday time is known for good will, massive shopping crowds and...parades. Phoenix has it's own special parade that is an absolute delight to warch. It is time for the 26th Annual APS Electric Light Parade. This spectacle of lighted floats and performance groups has delighted tens of thousands of spectators each year along the parade route, which runs down Central Avenue from Montebello, then heads east on Camelback to 7th Street where it heads south to it's conclusion at Indian School Road. This is the time of year that everyone loves here in the Valley of the Sun. Our normal high temps at this time are about 69 degrees, but we have had a nice stretch of above normal temps that are supposed to continue for at least the next week. It is glorious weather. So, get out an enjoy it. One ways is to check out the Tempe Festival of the Arts.

The Phoenix Zoo is a great place to visit anytime of the year. Yes, even in the summer. But my favorite is now. The annual Zoo Lights gets under way today and lasts through Jan. 6. Every year, the wildlife at the Phoenix Zoo gives way to wild lights! This year, ZooLights celebrates with 3.6 million lights and more than 700 glimmering light displays.
