realtor: Educating the consumer - 11/28/06 02:55 PM
My wife started a new job this week. As she gets acquainted with her responsibilities, she is also getting acquainted with her new co-workers. One of them mentioned that she was looking for a new house. Her preference is for new construction so that they can choose what they want in the house without having to change things. In some cases, it is obvious that whatever way it is marketed, the seller is trying to save money. One in particular started as a FSBO, went to an exclusive listing (not on MLS), back to FSBO, listed with a discount agency, and then back to FSBO again.  WOW!!?  What many sellers don't realize is that … (1 comments)

realtor: Hunting for the treasure - 10/12/06 10:10 AM
This past summer there was a TV show on called Treasure Hunters.  It focused on teams getting clues that would eventually lead them to a treasure worth over $1 mil.  They had to decipher the clues to determine answers that would lead to the next clue.

Real Estate is a lot like that.  Our starting point may be a phone call or email from a potential client.  We ask all kinds of questions to get the best possible clues to make it easier to decipher them.  Our ultimate goal, the treasure, is finding the right home for that client.  Along the way, … (0 comments)
