The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics have been an amazing experience and so I posted this on my blog earlier.
People walking the Downtown during the Games mostly described it as “electric”, and I certainly felt it.
I saw the stunned surprise and glowing delight of international visitors from every continent as they took in Vancouver and reveled in the excitement.
Sitting in the German Fan Fest beer garden, sharing a conversation with Australian visitors was truly special; so was the bratwurst and sauerkraut btw.

The Mascots will be at the Port Moody Recreation Complex from 1pm to 1:30pm during the Family skate from 1pm to 2:30pm.
Get there early to meet the Olympic mascots, and then spend the afternoon showing off your skating skills with friends and family.

On day 105 (February 11th), one day before the Olympic torch reaches its 2010 Vancouver destination, the Torch Relay will be coming through Port Moody and the Tri-Cities, stopping for a celebration at Maillardville's Mackin Park in Coquitlam.
The Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will be on Friday, February 12th.

Vancouver is regarded as one of the most desirable places to live in the world and as a result we have a net in-migration that exceeds 35,000 people each year.  
While the Vancouver pre-2010 Winter Olympics real estate market slowed down, the over-supply is dwindling and has returned to levels not seen for about 18 months.  
So with local supply decreasing and demand going up I remain quite positive as we see the initial signs of a rebound.

The Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic dates are February 12 to 28, followed on March 12 to 21 by the Paralympics Winter Games.
Visitors to the Olympics are already starting to organize their trips to British Columbia and many will need to consider accommodation options in Vancouver's surrounding areas such as the Tri-Cities of, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody.
