a1a home staging: Fantastic Home on Intracoastal in Flagler County - 04/07/10 11:44 PM
I just finished working on a fun project in Flagler County.  Almost 1.5 acres reaching from A1A to the Intracoastal (Fox's Cut).  A winding driveway through palms, oaks, and palmettos brings you to the 4 BR/2 BA home with 2 car garage.  Listed at only $435,000!  Click on the link below for photos and more information, including listing agent.

a1a home staging: Staging Works. Can I make a believer out of you? Sold in 25 days. :-) - 12/09/09 05:27 AM
I recently staged a wonderful home that had been on the market for 9 months.  During that time, there were a lot of showings, but little feedback and not a single offer.
The home is located in a very desirable, upscale neighborhood, where properties are still selling, but there is a lot of competition (multiple listings per street).
In a different market I don't think there would have been a problem selling this house, but with so much to choose from, this property just wasn't catching and keeping the buyers' interest.
A day of moving around furniture, organizing bookshelves, rearranging art work, … (7 comments)

a1a home staging: Why I LOVE ActiveRain - 07/15/08 07:53 AM
I am just amazed at the advice, ideas, and inspiration I get from the postings on the staging groups on ActiveRain.
A few weeks ago, I learned about MirrorMate frames, a wonderful way to update a plain bathroom mirror.  I checked out the MirrorMate website and found examples of beautiful frames decorating plain and bare mirrors.  Unfortunately, as was mentioned in the blog, the custom order frames are pretty expensive.
I had a small mirror in a small bathroom that really needed dressing up.  The cost to order a custom frame from MirrorMate was between $122.00 and $192.00 depending on the … (21 comments)

a1a home staging: Big Screen TVs are Great to Watch, but NOT so Great to Look At - 07/09/08 06:46 AM
As a home stager, one of my biggest challenges is the big screen TV.  I'm not talking about the ones that sit in a built-in, or on a pretty piece of furniture, or mount on a wall.  I am talking about the self-standing giant boxes that create a huge black rectangular hole in the room.
To compound the problem, I usually find these giants in the living room, right next to the fireplace, and partially blocking the windows with the great ocean view.
Understandably, the homeowner wants to be able to comfortably sit on their sofa and watch television while also … (11 comments)

a1a home staging: Make sure your MLS photos are the best they can be - 05/05/08 01:06 PM
A1A Home Staging recently staged and took new photos of an adorable condo for sale.  The MLS photos did not begin to show what a nice place this is.  A1A Home Staging can stage and take great photos of your home in Flagler or St. Johns counties and provide the photos to you in electronic format for your use in marketing and on the MLS.
Here are just a few of the before and after pictures from this staging.  The before pics were taken directly from the MLS listing.
