News from the widely watched Case-Shiller Home Price Index, a measure of 20 metropolitan areas, fell 19 percent in January 2009 from January 2008. That was faster than it dropped in the month prior, December 2008.
Denver which is the closest major metropolitan area to Fort Collins, fared much better with only a 5.1% drop in home prices.
