Tomorrow night (Tuesday, September 23rd) 7pm at the Carolina Forest Community Church we are asking all area residents to come for our Design Day Kick off. Even if you do not have children please come as this park is an important step for our community. Since I moved to Myrtle Beach in 1999 I've thought about learning how to golf but always set my goal aside for another time. I guess sitting there a few times in the past watching the golfers swing away at the driving range with poker faces and no joking much less speaking was a little intimidating. I began to think it may be too serious of a sport, I like to have fun. When I am learning something and do it right, I get excited and maybe even do a little "happy" dance. The Rotary Foundation and it's members do such a huge amount of good world wide, but I would like to take a moment to share some of the "small" local happenings here in Myrtle Beach. Thanks to the donations of fellow local Rotarians, last week I was given the opportunity to go to the Carolina Forest Elementary school here in Myrtle Beach and hand to every third grader their own personal dictionary and bookmark for them to keep.
