Election Day Eve - Are you excited for the future? I really cannot put my finger on why I feel so much excitement for tomorrow... More than for any previous election! It seems that we are going to be seeing a number of things contested by the apparent losing side tomorrow, given the power outages and destruction of Sandy; voting from military trucks; New Jersey residents being allowed to vote by email and fax; and early voting potential fraud. You will be greatly rewarded for spending a little bit of prep time before you shoot, as the main exterior photo is sometimes the only photo a potential buyer will see! 1. If you insist on keeping your home exactly the way it is, and don't care if it ever sells, do not read this. Do you seriously want to sell your home? Then you have to stop thinking about it as your home! It can be very difficult to let go. I know. But you need to make this change within yourself... Need more buyers? You can truly help effect change! Buyers who purchase a home in Michigan after May 1st are currently stuck with whatever property tax designation is on the home at the time of the closing. Michigan Realtors can help more people buy homes by supporting bill HB 5334. Let's start a grassroots action to get this passed! More business for Realtors is a great side bonus! There is a bill introduced in the Michigan House - HB 5334, which would remove the deadline to file for an exemption (which saves around 45% on property taxes).
