When someone is living in a property, rental or for sale - they have distinct habits, eating paterns, cleaning disciplines, and other general lifestyle behaviors.  Believe it or not, we all have somewhat different qualities like the ones I've described.  So it should come as no surprise when others do not … (3 comments)

rentals: Shirlington Sales to Rentals - 10/08/08 03:22 PM
Nothing has SOLD in the building (*based on MRIS data, as are all other data points mentioned in this blog post) since the end of July. There is nothing under contract as well. On the norm it takes 30-60 days on the norm to get from contract to settlement. So at this rate there will be no SOLD properties, even if one of those listed gets a contract tomorrow, until November or December. And this time of year isn't really known for the pick up in real estate sales. That independant of itself would be enough to make sellers get the serious … (0 comments)

rentals: Where does the inventory go? - 08/22/08 02:22 PM
For a while after the market turned the rental market was somewhat HOT. Many chose not to buy, or their financial situation made it so that they weren't able to buy. Well this turned buyers into renters. And with supply and demand factors that greatly increased the demand for rental property. That was good for landlords. Landlords increased rents they were asking, and often got it.Well that same market continued, and since buyers weren't buying sellers started to have problems. If they couldn't sell what would they do? They decided to try to … (1 comments)
