Roller Coasters aren't just rides at the amusement park! The real estate market has been one filled with the highest peaks and the lowest dips for the last 10 years and has finally begun to even out. Here in the Sarasota market we are beginning to see stabilization but the market is still difficult to navigate. Riding the Trillion Dollar Roller Coaster is an interesting take on today's market but not one that I totally agree with.

housing: Short Sale Processing Time cut in Half? Really?

Sorry, but I am not holding my breath for any true streamlining of the short sale process. Supposedly, beginning June 15, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are going to be required by the Federal Housing Finance Agency to speed up the interminable waits that purchasing short sale properties always include. They are now supposed to respond to offers within 30 days of receiving them and render a decision within 60 days. I will believe it when I experience it.
