I recently bought a great book at the Hillsborough Visitors Center called "Orange County Trio" by Elizabeth Shreve Ryan. It's a great tour book and historical guide to the three main cities that make up Orange County, NC as well as the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (my alma mater!) University Lake, located off Jones Ferry Road in Carrboro, will open for water fun this weekend! Boaters can rent flat bottom boats or canoes for use at University Lake or bring your own. We’re lucky here in North Carolina and in the Triangle area in particular. We had the kind of economy that could be called recession resistant if not downright recession proof. We watched the dire reports from Florida, Nevada and California and told our sellers ‘Not to worry…we never had that ridiculous inflation in OUR markets. See, houses are still selling.
