The Wall Street Journal recently reported that the size of new construction single family homes has fallen significantly in recent years. The time of affordability for the "McMansions" has waned. The report indicated that home sizes were up for 30 years until the beginning of the building boom in 2005. The purchase of single story homes with fewer bedrooms during the boom increased by a greater percentage than previous recessions by 43%. I can not tell you how many times in the past six to eight weeks I have been asked the million dollar questions, "Amy, is now a good time to invest in real estate?" or "Do you think market prices have gone as low as they are going to go?" or the best of the best, "When do you think prices are going to see an increase?" Let's work in reverse. To the last question, if I had a crystal ball, I would look into the future and give everyone a definitive answer. It is the fourth quarter.... we have two minutes left in the game and time is running out . We have the ball.
