I have a seller client who is currently in Madagascar. In fact, she will be there for a few years, serving in the Peace Corp. 11 hour time difference. She's a morning person, I'm not. She's away from the outside world for weeks at a time. No electricity, running water, or Internet. Phone bills have been very, very expensive. Being the frugal individual she is, she found Skype. About a week or so ago, I was in Haines. I heard about a humpback whale mamma and her calf spending a lot of time near the harbor. Oh, how I wish I could have been there for this! Notice the whale watching boat. I hear they never left the dock, telling the passengers it wasn't getting any better than this! Then, a few days ago, my husband sent me this link. A few weeks ago, I was definitely unsettled. My oldest son graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School and while I was happy for him, I was a little down in the dumps because this was the end of a chapter. I've since tried to embrace that it's the beginning of another, and I'm getting there! Thank you to everyone for your thoughtful words and concern as I poured out my heart to the world. I'm a lucky gal. I live and work in Southeast Alaska. Millions of people save for a lifetime in order to get to visit here, and I get out and see it all the time. I have found a way to mix business and pleasure unlike anything I could have ever dreamed of. My slogan is "I Sell Alaska". This is what I do. Excursion Inlet58.42 North - 135.43 WestExcursion Inlet is located on the north side of Icy Straits, east of Glacier Bay National Park, about 38 miles northwest of Juneau. The inlet itself is about 10 miles long. It is surrounded by mountains that range from 3,000 - 4,000 feet tall. There is no road leading to Excursion Inlet. Access is by float plane or boat and there is an airstrip for small crafts (scheduled flights year around). There is also regular barge service (summer only) and mail service (once per week).
