Where is the best place to pick a pumpkin in Broward County, is a very common question. While I feel I need to clarify "pumpkin picking" in South Florida, as it should be interpreted as "picking out a pumpkin placed in piles on grassy fields". Picking pumpkins has nothing to do with picking something that is still growing. South Florida pumpkin patches are made by bring pumpkins grown someplace else to our semi-tropical unfriendly pumpkin growing climate and laying them out in piles with hay for families in tank tops and flip flops to search and gather the perfect carving … (2 comments)
