These days, I am sure most of you work with bank owned, short sales and foreclosed properties. It is bad enough that these homes are not fun to show, usually. They are cheap, usually. You finally make an offer and the bank does not respond within a reasonable time frame, say a month! You're laughing? It happened to me! I showed 5 homes yesterday ranging from $40,000 to $109,000. All vacant, hot, smelly and walked the heck out of all of them with my clients. Going to make an offer and then I see that the commission on the peach $59,000 home … (7 comments)

I have this short sale home that is vacant. We have had many showings with no problems. In fact, we had 3 showings the day before this lady Realtor had her problem. She first called our office, not me, and stated her problem with a flea infestation. I immediately had the home fumigated and showings continued with no problems. She then sends a fax to the office demanding payment of $125 for her damaged clothes.. I was a little confused that she expected me to pay for her clothes simply because I was the listing agent. This is in the realm of good and not so good realtor's pictures!!!! Took a client to look at this home. I had all the information and pictures. Looked nice, but did not notice what was lying around the pool with all the chairs and kid's toys. Well, it became really obvious when we walked out the back doors! They had very big dogs and very big dogs leave lots of big "baby ruth's!" Would you have actually taken these pictures? A genuine, certified Akron, Ohio real estate agent did!!

I was floored today. I have been working with a lady for several weeks and looked at over a dozen homes and condos with her. She only has week ends, as she travels. She has a great job, very intelligent and qualified for any home we looked at regarding price.We found one worthy of her offer. It is a condo priced at $139,900 and the owner paid $155,000 several years ago. I ran the comps and it is definitely priced to sell.
