obama: Post Election Baby Boom? - 11/07/08 02:50 AM

MYSTERY MANFor those who've followed my blog, you know that in a prior post (Help Me...) I posed the question... "Who was that mystery man, that Oprah was leaning on (and crying on) during Obama's victory rally on Tuesday night?" Nobody seemed to know, in fact on Oprah's Wednesday show, she said she didn't know who it was, just some random man in the crowd who was nice enough to allow her to smear mascara on his jacket. She said, on her show, "Thank you, Mr. Man, for letting me cry on your shoulder!".
Well, according to the Chicago Tribune, … (4 comments)

obama: Help me, Obi-Wan-Obama... you're my only hope! - 11/06/08 02:38 AM
Many of you have questions about Tuesday, November 4th.  Important questions that have remained unanswered.  As a Chicago Suburbanite, I follow the Chicago Tribune which has been good enough to ask some of the tough Questions... and the tenacity to follow up and get the answers.
Damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead, I intend to disseminate some of those answers right here, in the AR forum.

obama: YES WE DID! - 11/05/08 02:19 AM
Although I am here in Chicago, I did not attend the Obama even held last night in Grant Park (Chicago's front yard, as many learned from the many reporters).  A colleague (and friend) of mine, from here in my office, DID attend, and I've included a poor quality copy of her e-ticket/invite so that those of you (myself included) who couldn't attend (read that as "weren't invited") can share in some of the election day euphoria that occurred last night.

obama: Ron Howard, Andy Griffith & The Fonz! - 10/27/08 12:57 PM
This is an exclusive video from www.funnyordie.com
I just thought it was too funny to keep to myself. Ron Howard puts his careers on the line to endorse a candidate, and I don't think you should miss it.
See more Ron Howard videos at Funny or Die It brings back a lot of memories, and yet feels very genuine. Enjoy. (P.S., can you tell that I've just figured out how to "embed" videos into my posts?) … (20 comments)

obama: A Pumpkin for "Change". - 10/27/08 01:11 AM
Yesterday, we performed a time-honoured tradition in our household.  We carved a jack-o-lantern... or to be more precise, we carved a Barack O'Lantern.
If you'd also like to carve your own Barack O'Lantern, you can go to YesWeCarve.org, and download a stencil, and join the ranks of the other ORANGE STATES.  And then they invite you to upload a photograph of your Barack O'Lantern, to share with the world. You can join the orange revolution!
On Halloween eve, we'll be displaying a Pumpkin for Change... (let's HOPE we don't get splattered on the asphalt).

They even have some suggestions for … (2 comments)
