home sales statistics: San Fernando Valley Home Sales Surge in September 2008

Sales of existing single family homes in the San Fernando Valley during September soared 81.8% compared to same month in 2007. 658 homes sold, 296 more than in September last year. Home sales been increasing since same month a year ago when 356 home where sold. Recovery seem to de underway.
Foreclosures will continue to be dominant in this market, maybe with the many laws that passed will slow the numbers coming. Recently JP Morgan Chase anounced they will help homeowner in trouble with loan modifications, same will start happening with Countrywide mortgage holders.
