I thought I would post an IDX solution that I recently created for the Olympia / Thurston County area. What makes the site unique is the ability to search by neighborhoods. The IDX solution was designed to be mapped based but there is also an Advanced Search function. Any comments would be appreciated. Current Market Conditions (July 1 to Aug 2) Inventory continues to increase especially for new construction homes. New construction represents over 25% of active properties in Thurston County. Lacey (39.95%), Yelm (36.28%), and Tumwater (35.11%) have the largest percentage of new construction houses available. The absorption rate is currently at 6.27 months for Thurston County. Absorption rate is the projected number of months it will take to sell all available homes taking for account the previous months (July) Sales.Yelm leads the way with a 8.41 months absorption rate followed by Tumwater at 8.19. The 2007 annual Thurston County Fairjust concluded. The fair ran from August 1 - 5. There were plenty of rides for the kids, farm animals to pet, and low-calorie (LOL) food for the whole family. Even though it's too late to attend this year's fair it's never too early to plan for next years Thurston County Fair. The fair is one of many fun and interesting events / attractions in Olympia that makes this a great place to live.
