tax credit: Tax Credit Extension Bill - "Bites The Dust"...

I spoke too soon the other week when I posted that it had been approved....according to reports out today, the Senate turned this bill down for the 3rd time. http://imarketnews.com/?q=node/15555 This means for me that I have one that will more than likely "go south" because they really were in hopes of getting this credit. Of course, the real killer of the deal is that it is a short sale and unless a "miracle" happens between now and the 30th....we will not be closing. A closing by June 30th was a stipulation the Buyers wanted in their contract even though I (3 comments)

I have a short sale that has been going on since April and still no word so this is GREAT news for me! I hope others that don't have any word yet will be able to breathe a little easier now that we are fast approaching the June 30th deadline.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT.....for the 2009 Tax Credit Deadline which ends November 30, 2009. This credit is available to first time homebuyers and/or people that have not owned a home in the last 3 years. *The federal credit is 10% of the purchase price up to $8,000.00 and the state credit is up to $1,800.00 or 1.2% of your purchase price. That is a possible tax credit of $9,800.00 just for purchasing a home before the deadline! 100% financing is still available in many rural areas of Georgia including all of Butts, Pike, Lamar, Upson, Meriwether and some parts of (4 comments)
