As a buyers agent, and sometimes a sellers representative, I find myself doing detective work on a homes permit history.  This becomes particularly interesting on foreclosed properties where the lender is not going to divulge any history of the home.  A recent conversation with the Minnesota Chief Electrical Inspector, John Williamson, Mn. Dept. of Labor and Industry,  yielded some links that could be a great source for any persons trying to do their diligence on a property, so I thought I would share!

I have a great property inspector, he does a bang up job for my clients and I refer him to many other agents.  He has the best equipment..and couple that all with ME, present at all inspections..we are a winning team!  I know many agents who don't go to the property inspections for their clients, and have always wondered why they would miss the opportunity to provide insight for their current clients, and learn more from a pro for their future friends.
