goals: We all have visions of the future - 11/29/13 07:45 AM
We all have visions of the future When I talk about my goals, I do not intend to justify myself.
Debating with skeptics, especially those with opions and no substance, is the task of missionaries and politicians.
My time is valuable and my path clear. I will achieve levitation. I have skin in the game.
My passion and purpose may seem far fetched and nonsensical. Probably the outcome would never affect you at all. No impact on your life other than curiosity.
Comics dealt with levitation half a century ago, science fiction answered the question in may ways. All I have … (2 comments)

goals: Overcoming negative tendencies. - 11/25/13 02:56 PM
Overcoming negative tendencies.
I suspect I am no different to others.
As the end of a year approaches, I might be tempted to assess my returns for the year, and be happy enough with the result to date.
I have lived long enough to recognize the trap in such thinking. My goals for the year involved the whole of 2013. They were honest goals, honestly made, often reviewed. Nowhere was there a "stop when I feel like it" clause, or "near enough is good enough" letout.
Daily affirmations, routines, and short term goals assure me I shall be striving to the … (10 comments)

goals: It's been a great year - 10/08/11 10:12 AM
It's been a great year In a little quiet time I have realized that I have been blogging on ActiveRain for just over a year. In fact it was 10/04/10 that I reached tentatively into blogging after lurking for a while. What would the old and the bold think!
With 311 posts (2000 comments made/1984 received), and a growing list of readers, I am more involved than I could ever have dreamed (2/6/13 for city/county/state position).
Early encouragement  and criticism was extremely beneficial. I have learned so much about so many different parts of the United States and Canada, so much … (22 comments)

goals: Dreams keep me going - 07/09/11 08:52 AM

Dreams keep me going Dreams with a date attached are goals. Usually by the time of becoming goals, my dreams have been committed to writing and evaluation.
My dreams are extensive. They are categorized into short, medium and long term when they evolve into goals. When they are visualized sufficiently to become goals, then I have space for more dreams.
Aging is inevitable and life's beating can be monotonous; but dreaming can continue.
Too often I encounter people who have stopped dreaming. Life has become just too hard. They have lost their ambitions. A lot of this loss of hope … (7 comments)

goals: A springboard into the second half - 07/04/11 03:29 PM
A springboard into the second half It seems like 2011 is a year of speed, fast disappearing, half gone already. Days fly by, callendars fill, all challenging scrutiny, and review, of things achieved.
National holiday celebrations for 4th of July are so beautifully placed to allow an emotional springboard into the second half of 2011. We have Summer and Fall ahead of us to get to peak impetus. Days are long and opportunities many. It's time to be really good at the things we are already good at, time to recharge and move on.
New Year resolutions, goals even, need to … (9 comments)

goals: My 100 Day Attack - the first 10 days - 02/11/11 10:51 AM

My 100 Day Attack - the first 10 days
As I indicated previously, the theme of my 100 Day Attack is Clients, Clients, Clients. The first 10% of the Attack passed so-o rapidly; days are beginning to blur.
At this point, I have had a chance to evaluate my activity; and with most activity there has been an increase in opportunity. (Perhaphs the harder I work, the luckier I get comes into play).
Surely the biggest A'ha from the ten days was that I need to stop "avoidance" (things that are easy to do are just as easy not to … (5 comments)
