safety: Halloween safety tips for homeowners - 10/29/07 08:24 AM
Here are a few safety tips for Halloween:
Make sure your yard is clear of such things as ladders, hoses, dog leashes and flower pots that can trip young ones
Battery powered jack o' lanterns candles are preferable to a real flame
Pets get frightened on Halloween.  Put them up to protect them from cars or inadvertently biting a trick-or-treater
Healthy foo alternatives for trick-or-treaters include packages of low-fat crackers with cheese or peanut butter filling, single-serve boxes of cereal, packaged fruit rolls, mini boxes or raisins and single-serve packets of low-fat popcorn that can be microwaved later
Non-food treats: Plastic rings, pencils, stickers, erasers, coins

safety: Safety Seminar - 10/09/07 07:31 AM
I attended a safety seminar today with Southern Crime Prevention Task Force.  It was amazing!!  Commander AJ Gwyn gabe us pointers on how to stay safe when showing property as well as how to keep our children safe.  His company does this seminar for free.  Yes they do sell their products at the end but they were very reasonable and everyone in the room bought something.
If you are interested in having him address your group you can contact them at 678-947-5914 or visit the website at www.southerncrime.
