Aloha Everyone! This may well be one of the oddest post yet! It's all about what I did Tuesday the 21st of October...I cut my Hair! This may not be a big deal to some people but my last haircut was over 8 years ago and I haven't had it this short for over 20 years! So the question that begs to be asked is Why... Just this afternoon I had a suprise visit from two ladies...(I started off assuming they where lost tourist)...usually I dont accept non appointment callers as it means I have to put another appoinment off or I get waaayyy behind on my "chores" but they apologized so nicely and explained that they had intended to look me up & call the next day, but they had been walking by and just saw my office sign, so decided to come up and say hello, totally understood that I was busy and would come back the next day...of course I made time for some one that considerate … (2 comments)

Ho'olaulea is basically a Hawaiian Block party and it has taken over downtown Hilo one more time! Every year on the last Saturday of September downtown Hilo town is hoppin! 3 Concert stages set up right across from the beautiful Hilo Bay, the music starts PUMPIN and the people start JUMPIN! The line up this year includes; Ten Feet, Mana o Company, Rebel Souljahz, Ekolu, Sudden Rush, Hookoa, Waiolama, Island Harmony, Darlene Ahuna, Mixjah, Tropical Blend and this doesn't include the strolling minstrels and the vendors! Whahoo! Party Time?? Thats right Party time... no, not the political party! A real Party! Music, cards, drinks, food (called "pupus" here, don't laugh!), friends & loved ones, you know...a REAL party! Once a month our office host a themed party, Pau Hana on Aloha Friday! Last month was a Margarita Fiesta (we had Regluar flavored, Lilikoi & Coconut Margaritas), Coconut was the favorite! Recipe is at the bottom...). And this month it is Wine & Cheese... Ok, I did this years back with a group on eBay and it was alot of fun... we talk to each other alot, sometimes daily, we know more about each other than some family members, yet we have no idea where the majority of us spend our days...So I will start it out... I receive/purchase grocery bags regularly...it seems that every time I go to the store I buy more than I had intended and neglect to bring enough "green" bags with me and of course the store is so akamai that they have a convenient selection of them right at the check out stand (go ahead, tell me this never happens to you) So I have Bags from the county of Hawaii, Political parties, associations, loves bakery, etc...
