The Re/Max Balloon Celebrates 32 Years! It's hard to believe, but it has been 32 years since Re/Max launched it's first hot air balloon back in 1978 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The red, white and blue hot air balloon today is one of the most widely recognized corporate logos and to the public it means real estate!

That one launching of the hot air balloon has grown into a fleet of 119 hot air balloons flying proudly worldwide today, making the Re/Max fleet the largest in the world.Have you seen the red, white & blue Re/Max balloon flying high in … (12 comments)

Did You See This... Did You Know
Take the time to watch this video, even if you seen it before.  Also, remember it was done sometime in 2008 and all the facts that it is stating are probably obsolete.  Most of the numbers are probably bigger.
It is hard to believe if in fact it is true.

What did you think?  Can it be true?

Fall Doesn't Last Long... It's Beauty Captured Forever
It is always sad when Labour Day comes around, a couple of weeks later Fall makes it's official appearance.  The nights and days start to get cooler, a quick frost and the trees start turning it's leaves into a photographer's delight.
Lonely but at the same time inviting to take a stroll.  Don't wait it won't look like this next week.

Enjoy...

remax: Where Did Thanksgiving Originate? - 10/11/09 03:23 AM
Gobble, Gobble means Happy Thanksgiving Day!
Time to give thanks for all that you have, whether you live in Canada or the United States, we are very fortunate. This is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada.  Our Canadian Thanksgiving is held the second Monday in October, earlier than our American friend's Thanksgiving, which falls in November.
Some people believe this is because Canada, being farther north, has an earlier harvest.  Whatever the reason deciding to have Thanksgiving in October when the weather is still warm enough for us Canadians to enjoy the outdoors was a great idea!

What Is Your Favorite Old Car? Guess Before You Look!
We were just going through a few pictures we had picked up over the Summer.  Yes Summer as short as it may have been.
We came across some photos that we took at the Orillia car show, and guess what one car stood our the most.

Have you ever gone to a car show and not seen a 1957 Chey, looks sharp in this orange colour but if you were to close your eyes and picture the car it would probable be in a turquoise blue colour.

It was time for the beautiful downtown area of the City of Orillia to  'Get Back' to 1964 as it recreated the Abbey Road Rooftop Performance and came alive with a two day Beatles street festival September 18th and 19th!
It was fantastic to see the recreation, the participation and even the weather co-operated with a gorgeous sunny day!  It started Friday night at the Orillia Opera House with the Beatles tribute band that the Rolling Stone magazine calls "the best", then the main stage took over with a hospitality tent and the Let's Get … (10 comments)

remax: RECORDS SURE HAVE BEEN BROKEN THIS YEAR! - 09/20/09 08:33 AM
ALL KINDS OF RECORDS HAVE BEEN BROKEN THIS YEAR!
This has surely been a year that is!  All types of records are being broken.  We wonder how many actually..., records lows in the economy, record lows real estate sales, record lows in interest rates, record highs in the number of short sales and certainly broken records here in the Toronto Canada area with record highs in rainfalls this summer and now that summer is drawing to a close, (this is the last weekend of summer), record number of days without rain!
Yes that is what they are telling us.  That July 2009 was … (6 comments)

remax: IT WAS A BUSY DAY IN ORILLIA SATURDAY! - 06/14/09 03:46 AM
Beautiful and quaint City of Orillia nicknamed the Sunshine City is 125 km from downtown Toronto.  It is bordered by picturesque Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching and is a couple of miles from the Casino Rama.
Saturday June 13th was a busy day for this City of 30,000+. First there was the launching of the Firefighters Relief Poker Run.  Early bird registration cost $375.00 and then registration was $475.00.  These cigar/cigarette (gas guzzling) boats now were set to run at 55 mph as opposed to the 90 -150 mph they used to run at in past years.  This was a great charity event! http://www.performanceboatclub.ca/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=57&Itemid=1

remax: How To Save A Few Hundred Dollars Each Month... - 06/14/09 01:12 AM
Wanted to share some information with you that could help the debt load of some of your clients.  We were invited to meeting of our peers in our RE/MAX club level.  About 300 were in attendance.  It's always a place of ideas from the best of the best.
Walter J. Schneider co-owner of RE/MAX Ontario-Atlantic Canada Inc. was the keynote speaker and brought up a very interesting fact with regards to storage units.
He said that there are in access of 60,000 storage centres in North America.  That's centres not units.  He has a friend that owns about 15,000 units.  Theses … (12 comments)

CANADIANS CELEBRATE QUEEN VICTORIA'S BIRTHDAY TODAY!
Queen Victoria was born May 24, 1819 and is our longest reigning queen to date. (Will Queen Elizabeth surpass her tenure?) http://www.inglewoodcarecentre.com/history/victoria.htm
This feisty queen was targeted for assassination many times during her long reign and as reported in the Toronto Sun this week, may be targeted again.  http://www.torontosun.com/news/2009/05/16/9476431-sun.html   Apparently certain groups would like to forget this Queen's birthday altogether.
Many people already commonly refer to this holiday weekend as the May 2-4 weekend. Is that because it usually fell on a weekend with a 2-4 in it or because it is commonly a weekend of barbequing, friends and … (7 comments)
