The Winter Olympics will soon be under way and personally, I CAN’T WAIT! I love to see it from the very beginning…Getting to know each of the athletes as they work to make their dream a reality. Watching them compete on a level that so few of us (aside from die-hard athletes pro or not) will ever experience.

Two weeks into the new year and I need to ask you, WHERE ARE YOU IN YOUR REAL ESTATE CAREER?
I ask this for several reasons. The most obvious one being that most boards are now renewing memberships, and I am anticipating a BIG DROP. I don't have the stats yet, but I am working on collecting data here in California for the number of NBA's (No Broker Affiliation). I received a phone call today from a young man very interested in becoming a Realtor. He said HE knew people that were going to be buying and selling million dollar plus homes. In his words..."THAT'S the kind of clientele I want to work with!" That seems to be our Market Theme Song! It's a Buyers Market...No! It's a Sellers Market! The truth is IT'S A REAL ESTATE MARKET...and this means that everyday, there are people BUYING AND SELLING Real Estate. Some are buying their first home. Others are looking for investment properties. There are people who HAVE to sell because of relocation, or their house just got too big...whatever the reason they are active in Real Estate. So what's the problem? Why are people sitting on the fence? Should we as Real Estate agents have this on our yard signs:

So, I got my hair cut this weekend…why is this enough for me to post a blog about it? Because as I was drying my hair this morning, I realized I HATED IT! I have always been pretty experimental with my hair. I’ve had it short, long, blonde, red, streaked and at one point in my life, I even had it purple! As a Recruiter for Seven Gables Real Estate, and an active Realtor for the past 8 years, I have never encountered what I am coming across these days. In my search for agents who are struggling in their career, I have been blown away by how many people were licensed in December of 2006 and are now out of the business! Yes, I know...."It's about time to get rid of those people who are only working in Real Estate Part time" or another one I hear often is "I'm glad they're leaving the market!
