greensboro real estate: Before & After - 4 Chicks And A Dude... - 04/24/10 09:17 AM
Hey Gang:
I present to you, the Four Horse(wo)men of Triad Home Staging!
Recently, Chrissie Sutherland, Kim Lee, Lori Nicholson and Angele Carlson got together on a joint project to stage a vacant home that is being shown in the Greensboro Parade of Homes.  If you recall, I featured rookie stagers Lori and Angele in previous posts.  Well, here is when serious talent puts their heads together to "Git R Done."
Chrissie was kind enough to provide me with Before shots and has allowed me to use them in this presentation.
Enjoy!

greensboro real estate: NEW Stager "Before" and "Afters" - Introducing Lori Nicholson - 04/07/10 12:00 AM
Hmm, y'all must be onto something here because I have had my third new Home Stager in a month contact me for photographs.  I am pleased to introduce Lori Nicholson and her company, "Stylishly Staged Home Staging" out of Lexington, NC (GREAT BBQ there by the way!).  Lori met me through an ASHSR meeting chaired by Chrissie Sutherland (my second wife) of Ready, Set, Stage.
Lori retained my services for a vacant stage project she did for a lovely home in Winston-Salem.  With her permission, she gave me some of her before images so I could share with you what she … (21 comments)

greensboro real estate: Cropping - 1 Photo, 3 Different Looks (Sunrise - Folly Beach Pier, Charleston, SC) - 03/15/10 04:18 PM
One of my favorite tools as a photographer is the cropping tool.  This allows me to be creative in many different ways and, it allows me the opportunity to rethink images after I am back in the studio and can really see what I have captured.  Here is a case in point.
Recently, I was retained to photograph two houses on the exclusive Seabrook Island as well as an oceanfront penthouse condo on Folly Beach near Charleston, SC.  The morning of my departure I was up at sunrise and captured this image of the pier at Folly Beach:

Hey Gang:
Well, here it is, home number three from my weekend working for Melissa Marro of First Impressions and WeStageSC.com.  Overall, I believe the project was a huge success for both of us as I am already getting inquiries for more work down there, and I am sure, by extension Melissa will have her plate full in the near future.
So, I present Act III of the Marro/Mayon Project:

Hey Gang:
Here is part two of my three-part project with Melissa Marro.  Again, just a textbook stage!  The REALTOR hired a "professional" to do their photos, and here is a link to look at those photos in a new browser window:

greensboro real estate: First Time Home Stager - Part II - 02/24/10 12:10 AM
Hey Gang:
So this is another project I recently completed for a woman (different woman from Part I) who is considering becoming a Home Stager.  This was her first attempt at a vacant stage for her friend who is the REALTOR/Builder.  I believe she did an excellent job, what are your thoughts?

There you have it.  Any professional thoughts and opinions you'd like to share for this first-timer?

greensboro real estate: First-Time Home Stager - Part 1 - 02/23/10 11:34 PM
Hey Gang:
I completed a project about a week ago for a woman who just became a certified Home Stager.  Her family is selling their home to move to Raleigh, so this was her very first stage.  Here are some of my photos, and if you would like to give some constructive feedback, I am sure she would appreciate it.

So, there you have it.  How did she do?  What suggestions would you make?  Is there anything yo would have done differently?

greensboro real estate: DIGGING My New FULL SCREEN Slideshows!! - 12/10/09 04:29 AM
Because I am in such a visual business, I believe it is critical that the images I provide my clients really WOW their potential clients.  One of the problems with the MLS/MLX is that the images are always small and underwhelming.
If you are fortunate enough to be able to have external links from the MLS/MLX to a third party slideshow program, then you are better off than those that can't.  Luckily for me, the Triad MLX allows for such links, so I am able to provide my REALTORS virtual tour/slideshows that are FULL SCREEN.  Now THAT can give some serious … (10 comments)

greensboro real estate: Are You Maximizing Your Facebook Real Estate?? - 11/19/09 10:03 AM
Hello Rainmakers:
If you are like most Social Networking savvy businesses, you are involved on Facebook, Twitter, blogging, etc.  How many of you that are on Facebook knew that you could maximize your profile image to 200 pixels wide by 600 pixels high?  How many of you even know what that translates to?  Me neither, until a friend of mind, David Hutnick, who is the Social Networking Specialist at PhotoBiz.com where my website Triad Real Estate Photography is hosted told me about this.
Facebook allows you to create a personal image for the top left of your Fan Page as your … (9 comments)

greensboro real estate: Greensboro NC Real Estate Photography - "Before and After" Pimping Granny and Gramps "Old Folks Home" - A Case Study in Elegant Transformation - 11/04/09 11:15 PM
Aloha! I have received the before pictures from Kim Lee of All About Design NC. Here is an awesome example on what a difference some home staging (and some interior design work) can make. This is a case study in the transformation of the model at "River Landing," a progressive retirement community in Greensboro, NC. The owners were befuddled as to why their retirement homes weren't selling at the $300K price point. Kim was brought in on a consultation and convinced River Landing they needed to "up their game." To their credit, they agreed with Kim's assessment and the result is … (16 comments)

greensboro real estate: THIS is a "Retirement Home??" - 11/02/09 09:25 AM
So, I have always thought of retirement homes as being drab, sterile and downright depressing.  Until now!
I am very pleased to announce a NEW partner who has hopped on board the Triad Real Estate Photography wagon, and designed an incredible "retirement" (cough, cough) home.
Meet the design stylings of Kim Lee of All About Image NC.  She was given the assignment of transforming Drab to Fab at River Landing in Greensboro, NC.  She is going to send me the before images, but here are the "afters."  Kim was responsible for EVERYTHING, from the fireplace and built-ins, to all the kitchen amenities and … (9 comments)
