 Do you believe that you need a credit score of 800, 20% down, and your first-born to buy a home in Chatsworth?   Well, according to the National Association of Realtors, Ellie Mae & Freddie Mac, this is simply not true.   In 2015, the Average FICO scores of approved loans was 723. Welcome to 2016! Homes and people are starting to move!  
 
This past week we saw 6 homes sell in Chatsworth... the prices ranged from $260,000 - $615,000; and  size from 937sf-2,670sf.
 
Biggest question this month?  How many days on the market?  The shortest time on market was 25 days. The longest, 167 days, with an average of 42 days -- and this over a month filled with holidays.

Welcome, welcome, welcome to 2016!
 
We used the last couple of weeks to rest, rejuvenate and plan for the new year.  All kinds of exciting ideas & dreams are being worked out on our end.  We've also used the time to do a little assessment.  We (the nation) had a great 2015—the best year for housing since 2007. An interesting fact, is that the economists over at Realtor.com® project an even better year in 2016.

You know what I love about the autumn real estate market? Although there may be fewer homes coming to market, those that do, show that the owners have taken the time (probably the summer) to update, clean, and really prep their homes to sell.
