Ah! the 4th has come and gone. What a great chance to catch up with friends and
family!
One thing I found, as I made my rounds this weekend, I was inspired by a great
garden & pool area. Now I've done a bit of updating on my own landscaping.
The outcome, greater "curb appeal".
I love the look of my home as I'm driving up to it.
Now, I'm not selling my home any time soon, however, I thought you might benefit
from the idea that First Impressions are really important!
I'd love to share some more ideas with you. Simply reply to this message with your
name and … (0 comments)

5 Reasons to Sell This Summer

As the temperature rises, buyers are coming out ready to purchase their dream
homes. The summer is a great time to list your home for sale. Here are five reasons
why:
1. Demand Is Strong
Buyers are ready, willing and able to purchase... and are in the market right now!
Take advantage of the buyer activity currently in the market.

2. There Is Less Competition Now
According to NAR's latest Existing Home Sales Report, the supply of homes for
sale is still under the 6-month supply that is needed for a normal housing market
at 4.7-months. This means, in most areas, there are not … (0 comments)

Hello!
I do hope you had a lovely Father's day. I saw a great commercial this week, that
reminded me of someone dear to me... It was a "Dad" building shish-kebabs at
the drill, and when the camera panned out, he was using his new Craftsman
screwdrivers. LOL
So, if you've been thinking of selling your home, maybe you've been putting your
own screwdrivers to use... or at least some spackling and paint. If you haven't,
you may want to take a look at our Seller Ebook -- How To Sell Your Home for Top
Dollar Fast! It gives some great ideas and perspectives on the best way to
prepare … (0 comments)

We lost an American icon this week. He literally & figuratively "fought the good fight".
Mohammed Ali had a presence and leaves a legacy with his children and
grandchildren, and in American culture.
As I surfed the 'net in search of just the right image or quote, I came upon the one
above, of how he'd like to be remembered. How amazing to have lived your life in such
a way that you are remembered as you'd planned. It's certainly how I remember him.
Now, let's get back to work.

I trust you had an amazing long weekend, and hope that you had a minute to contemplate
those who died in battle. So, did you open your pool this weekend? Do you even have a
pool to open? I have fond memories of "opening the pool"... skating around with scrub
brushes on my feet to clean the cover, and the general merriment that comes with being
a kid ready to take the first dip of the season.

Have you noticed the shift? As May draws to a close and schools prepare to wrap up for the
summer, kids are either immersed in studies for exams or skating along and dreaming of pools
and summer fun. there's also a psychological shift that happens to homeowners... summer's a
time to enjoy our homes, and do the "little" things that will make it more appealing to buyers.
Have you had a chance to check out the neighbor's who've listed their homes? How do you
think your home compares? You know, I would enjoy seeing the changes (enhancements) you've made to your home since you bought it, … (1 comments)

How To Sell Your House In As Little As 24 Hours –
Without Ever Putting It “On The Market”!

There is a principle in psychology called scarcity—it’s the desire that’s in all of us to
want something that we can’t have.
There are some strategic ways that this principle can be applied to a real estate situation.
That’s right, I said applied—you can actually control it.  Often, the illusion of scarcity can
be orchestrated and often appears in real estate situations without people even knowing
that it’s there. Have you ever heard of a situation where a home was on the market and
more than one person was interested in it?
In … (1 comments)

Hi

As you're keeping an eye on the home sales in your neighborhood, I'd like to offer an insight...
One of the major factors in getting your house to sell quickly is simply put: make it attractive.
Most buyers select their home based on emotion and then justify the decision with facts,
so it is important to make the house inviting and pleasant. Yours is not only the only
property the prospective buyer will see. You are competing with model homes that may
have been professionally decorated and homes that have no children, no pets and Mr. and Mrs. Perfection as owners.
You can find some concrete suggestions for how to make your home competitive in … (0 comments)

If You Are Thinking of Selling, Now Is The TimeIf you thought about selling your house this year, now may be the time to do it.
The inventory of homes for sale is well below historic norms and buyer demand is skyrocketing.
We were still in high school when we learned the concept of supply and demand: the best time
to sell something is when supply of that item is low and demand for that item is high. That defines today's real estate market. In a recent article, the Chief Economist for Realtor.com revealed,"Would-be buyers face
a dilemma: There will be more homes on the market … (2 comments)

Good morning, Good Afternoon, & Good Evening!
Our market is just FUN!  It seems each week brings a new and intriguing situation...
last week people were asking about investment opportunities and this week, it seems
that Luxury is the topic of the day.  How do you define luxury? Is it the price, the
space, or the feel of a place?
This is a really good time to assess if it's time for you to "move up".  Are you considering
this?  This kind of transaction takes a bit of coordination... to find a new place to live, then
have you home sell, and be able to do … (0 comments)

Sales Contracts Hit Highest Level in Months    So last week, I gave you the potential pitfalls of listing your home in a HOT
market. Now here's a slightly different perspective that shows that buyers are
still buying!
The National Association of Realtors (NAR) just announced that the February
Pending Home Sales Index reached it’s highest reading since July 2015.
This index means that  more contracts have been signed by buyers that will
soon translate to sales. February’s Index rose 3.5% month-over-month to
109.1.
What does this mean for the market?
Lawrence Yun, NAR’s Chief Economist explained:
"After some volatility this winter, the latest data is encouraging in that a
decent number of buyers signed contracts last … (0 comments)

Did you stand in line this weekend at one of the 19,700 theatres to watch the opening weekend of Batman v Superman? Whatever happened to the days  when good guys were just good guys? And explain to me why people can't see that Clark Kent is Superman... seriously? Anyway, back to my point.    Just as millions flocked to the theaters to see this new movie that had a LOT of hype, so is the Spring market like a feeding frenzy! As a home owner/seller, this seems like a GOOD thing, right? Multiple offers OVER asking. Hoorah!   So what … (0 comments)

I'd like to share a story with you.   This week, a friend, who is very computer-savvy, had a computer issue.  She put a video of "the red screen of death" on facebook. What I found interesting was all of the comments. Everyone has some working knowledge (as end-users) of computers, right? Especially if they're on facebook. The armchair experts weighed in, with everything from "it's a virus", "you upgraded to Windows 10 too soon", and the inevitable, "this never happens with a Mac".   Come to find out, it was a failed hard drive. Nobody suggested this option. The way … (0 comments)

I was chatting with my coach the other day, and she asked me, "What do you think YOUR clients appreciate MOST about you as a Realtor?" Although initially I thought it was my years of experience and knowledge of the market, or maybe my ability to negotiate, the reality is... I think people appreciate my ability and willingness to listen. (My team &) I truly want to understand exactly what it is you want, and WHY you want it.  Yes,we have experience and knowledge and all the credentials, but NONE of those matter until weknow what YOU want.  So I ask you, what is it … (0 comments)

I just reviewed the report from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) on the change in home sales by price point for 2015 as compared to 2014.  Some Highlights:  Home Sales are up year-over-year in the top 4 price ranges and only slightly below last year's numbers in a fifth. A lack of distressed property inventory has led to a slow down in sales in the under $100K price range. As home prices continue to rise, there will be less homes available for sale in the lower ranges. What does this mean for you, as a homeowner considering the sale of your … (0 comments)
