Well folks, Firework Celebrations for the Fourth of July were looking pretty grim here on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. Nineteen Eastern Carolina Counties are currently under a "Burn Ban", and everyone was being urged to refrain from Fireworks on the fourth of July. After Carteret County received a good soaking yesterday afternoon, and is expecting more on Friday, Fireworks are still a go for the 4th of July Weekend! As far as I know, the burn ban is still in effect, and the Air quality is still not (8 comments)
Morehead City The Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department will once again sponsor the Morehead City celebration this 4th of July Weekend. The fireworks display will begin at around 9:15 pm on July 4th, 2010 from Sugarloaf Island. The Carolina Beach Band will perform from 7-8:30 pm on July 3rd and The Seaside Band will perform from 7-11:00 pm on July 4th at Jaycee Park, 9th and Shepard Streets. Vendors will be on hand to sell refreshments.
